Thunderstone Standard Specifications for Architectural Cast Stone Products
All Thunderstone manufacturing and product testing follows the specifications as defined by the ASTM Specification C 1364 – 06 for Architectural Cast Stone. A number of these specifications related to the physical requirements of our products are listed below;
Compressive strength: not less than 6500 p.s.i after 28 days / ASTM C 1194 Rate of Absorption: not greater than 6% after 28 days / ASTM C 1195 Air Content: 4-8% for units exposed to freeze-thaw environments / ASTM C 173 Resistance to Freeze/Thaw: less than 5% CPWL after 300 cycles / ASTM C 1364 Linear Shrinkage: shrinkage shall not exceed 0.065% / ASTM C 426
