Thunderstone is a wholesale manufacturer of architectural cast stone. We manufacture standard items and also produce custom units per the customer’s specifications. The following information will help you through the order process, help us serve your needs more efficiently, and allow us to expedite your order in a quick and accurate manner. Quotes are good for sixty (60) days from date of quote. Our quotes are for cast stone only and typically do not include installation labor or hardware, mortar or grout unless specifically stated on quote. 

One influence directly related to higher prices is the expense associated with collecting overdue invoices and finance charges. In order to offer the best pricing possible, all orders require a 50% deposit at the time the order is placed and the balance due prior to shipping. In some cases we will accept an application for credit, however this must be approved prior to placing an order.

Work (including shop drawings & other submittals) begins upon receipt of deposit. The lead time quoted begins upon receipt of approvals (color & shop drawings). 

Once an order has been placed, shop drawings are submitted to the customer by our office for approval. Please review these drawings carefully, as these will be the documents used to manufacture from. It is the responsibility of the customer to make changes or corrections to any inaccuracies or errors on the shop drawings. Changes (other than corrections) made by the customer after receipt of approvals must be made in writing and may generate additional costs (or savings) for the customer.

A ship date is released upon receipt of approvals. Please verify the ship to address on all quotes and invoices.

Delivery is handled by common carrier or flat bed truck. This is curbside service. The driver will assist, but the customer is responsible for having proper manpower and equipment to unload the materials ordered from the truck. We will make every effort to get the lowest rate from a competent and reliable carrier for the customer, however shipping charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. All shipments are sent collect or “third party billing”.

Any material refused due to damage will be replaced as quickly as possible, at no charge to the customer. Damages must be noted on the bill of lading in order to file a damage claim with the carrier. Failure to do so may annul your right to free replacement of damaged units.

Setting plans are included with the shipment. If you wish to have them sent separately, you must make that request in writing and include the name and address of the recipient. This option may be subject to additional mailing/shipping charges.
